Backyard BBQ Bash

June 27, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. | $50 | Instructor: Joe Stumpe.

Succulent meats, sweet treats and all the other great eats you need for a backyard get-together. On the menu: Skirt steak with Chimichurri Sauce, Best-Ever Beer Can Chicken, Grilled Veggie Medley, Apple Crumb Pie with Homemade Ice Cream and more. This is a hands-on session ending in a great meal. Participants who are 21 and older are welcome to bring wine or other beverages to class. Suggested pairings: Cabernet, Shiraz.

Brunch for a Bunch

July 11, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. | $50 | Instructor: Joe Stumpe.

Entertaining isn’t only for the nighttime. Festive mornings around a dinner table can be just as tasty and fun serving up classic fare like Stuffed French Toast, Crepes Suzette, Quiche Lorraine and more. This is a hands-on session ending in a great meal. Participants who are 21 and older are welcome to bring wine or other beverages to class. Suggested pairings: Sparkling Wine.

Knife Skills

July 17 | 6 – 8 p.m. | $40 | Instructor: Harry Pape, (Chef H.)

Come and learn how to use your knives properly. No, you do not need 8 or 9 knives in your kitchen, just a few will do. Learn how to keep your knives sharp and how to properly care for them so your investment will last for years. We will have some snacks for everyone but there will be no food preparation.

Southern Italy

Tuscany may not necessarily be considered “Southern Italy,” but for the purposes of this class it will be. Immerse yourself in the famed wines of Tuscany along with the rustic, reds from the South! You will sample a variety of wines in this class. Food is not provided.

Let’s Have a Picnic

Jul. 19, 6 – 8 p.m. | $50 | Instructor: Harry Pape, (Chef H.)

Grab that picnic basket and head to your favorite spot or just join friends. Kick it up a bit with guilt free potato salad, and a Philadelphia Hoagie. Finish it off with a free form apple tart made at home. Not difficult at all so come to this class by Chef H and learn how to make these picnic treats. Surprise your friends with these stress-free recipes. Participants who are 21 and older are welcome to bring wine or other beverages to this class. Suggested Pairings: Your favorite beer or a nice light white wine.

Wichita, You're a Keeper! - Adult Cookie Workshop

July 21, 12 – 2 p.m. | $50 | Instructor: Kara Smith.

Celebrate the 148th birthday of our dear city, Wichita, with cookie decorating! During this two hour class learn the tricks, tips and techniques of cookie decorating with Wichita themed sugar cookies. Techniques covered in this class include: pipping and flooding, detail pipping and stenciling. Learn the difference between Buttercream frosting and Royal icing and how they apply to cookie decorating. All supplies are included in the cost of the class. Students will leave with six Wichita inspired and decorated sugar cookies. In addition, a take home cookie decorating goodie bag and recipes are provided.

"Gimme’ S'more Summer" Cookie Workshop

Aug. 16, 6 – 8 p.m. | $50 per participant | Instructor: Kara Smith.

Learn the tricks, tips and techniques of cookie decorating with woodsy/camp themed sugar cookies, including a GIANT S’more shaped cookie!  Techniques covered in this class include: pipping and flooding, detail pipping and airbrushing. Learn the difference between Buttercream frosting and Royal icing and how they apply to cookie decorating. All supplies are included and students will leave with six decorated sugar cookies. In addition, a take home cookie decorating goodie bag and recipes are provided.

Currying Flavor: The Food of India

Aug. 22, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. | $50 per participant | Instructor: Joe Stumpe

Learn the secrets behind the exotic flavor of Indian dishes such as Samosa, Curry, Butter Chicken, Chutneys, Biriyani, Naan and more. This is a hands-on session ending in a great meal. Participants who are 21 and older are welcome to bring wine or other beverages to class. Suggested pairings: Riesling, Pinot Gris.

Not Your Mama's Dinner Party, Part 3

August 29, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. | $50 | Instructor: Joe Stumpe.

Unless your Mama happens to be from the South, that is. The third installment in our Not Your Mama series again features two complete dinner party menus, including Pan-Fried Chicken, Shrimp with Cheesy Grits, Ham and Greens, World’s Best Cornbread, Sweet Potato Pie and More. This is a hands-on session ending in a great meal. Participants who are 21 and older are welcome to bring wine or other beverages to class. Suggested pairings: Rosé, Cava.

A Frisco Feast

Sept. 5, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. | $50 | Instructor: Joe Stumpe.

One of America’s great food cities, San Francisco has given us Cioppino, Clam Chowder in Sourdough, Roasted Chicken with Bread Salad, the Hangtown Fry and more. Come learn how they do it by the Golden Gate. This is a hands-on session ending in a great meal. Participants who are 21 and older are welcome to bring wine or other beverages to class. Suggested pairings: Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay.

Cupcake Basics

Sept. 13, 6 – 8 p.m. | $50 | Instructor: Kara Smith.

Learn the basics and a few “fancy” extras to cupcakes. Each student will decorate one dozen cupcakes in class. Cupcakes will include various fillings, flavor combos and decorating techniques. Simple decorating and pipping techniques will be demonstrated. In addition, a take home cupcake decorating goodie bag and recipes will be provided. Participants are welcome to bring their own beverage of choice if they are over 21.

Oregon Pinot Noir Primer

September 19 | 6 – 8 p.m. | $45 per participant

"No Llama Drama" Cookie Workshop

Sept. 27, 6 – 8 p.m. | $50 | Instructor: Kara Smith.

Learn the difference between Buttercream frosting and Royal icing and how they apply to cookie decorating. All supplies are included in the cost of the class. Students will leave with six decorated themed sugar cookies. In addition, a take home cookie decorating goodie bag and recipes are provided. Non-alcoholic margarita mix will be served at this workshop.
