Creative Expression

Open to all who have a desire to think outside the box of their normal way of painting. Great for those who paint representational and those who just want to get back into making art. Student will get the tools to be more expressive and Find your Mark. Take the familiar out of the equation and challenge each student to unlimited possibilities of creating unique works of Art. Handouts, group critiques and fun.

This class will be held in the Printmaking studio but will be focusing on mixed media materials and not the printmaking press.

Processes in Collaging

Ages 18+ | Tuesdays listed, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.: June 25, July 9, 23, 30 | Instructor: Tim Stone | $65 / Members $58.50. This new class will be all about exploration. How can we re-purpose found materials and convert them into thought-provoking colorful masterpieces? I will show students how to create and explore their ideas using various collaging and color techniques. Magazines, old prints and photographs are all materials we or someone we know has in abundance. We will be melding such materials with tape, paint and oil pastels in order to create new art.

Multi-Media: Charcoal, Colored Pencil, Pastel and Watercolor with Gayle Clayborn

Learn through exploration in a relaxed environment. Students work on individual projects focusing on composition, perspective, value, color mixing, layering and more in their medium(s) of choice.

Supplies: Students should bring their own personal supplies, such as the following

– Some kind of support to work on (watercolor paper, pastel paper, bristol paper or other drawing paper)

– colored pencils, pastels or watercolors
