Enameling, Jewelry & Metalsmithing Classes

Mark Arts August/October weekly class session is August 17 – October 3. Member enrollment opens on July 13 and public enrollment opens July 20.

The health of our visitors is our top priority. Social distancing measures have been implemented in each studio. Studios are cleaned, disinfected, and sanitized between each class. Masks are required. We look forward to creating with you!

JEWELRY & METALSMITHING SUPER SESSION

Roger Mathews

This two week 4 course super session is designed for both beginners and advanced students. Projects will be tailored to ability levels and student interests, with demonstrations and hands-on guidance in the art of metalsmithing.

BEGINNING JEWELRY & METALSMITHING

Explore the basic techniques for fabricating jewelry and decorative pieces through demonstrations and hands-on projects. Students will learn to make a silver ring, links for a bracelet or necklace, metal techniques, textures, bezel stone setting, soldering, and more.

ENAMELING

Enameling: the transformation of simple glass and metal to a piece of jewelry or decoration. Learn how two very different substances can be combined to make beautiful pieces of jewelry, dishes, wall decor and more as we engage in the centuries-old art of enameling.

Jewelry & Metalsmithing Drop-in Open Studio
Tuesdays or Wednesdays, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Enameling students Open Studio hours
Fridays  9 a.m. – 12 p.m. & Saturdays 1 p.m. -4 p.m.

Students who have previously taken classes (regular session or bootcamp) may drop-in for an open studio on a space-available basis for $25;
it is highly recommended that a reservation is made in advance to ensure that there will be room as space is limited.

Drop-ins must check in at the front desk prior to entering the studio.
