Etching Workshop with Karin Cernik and Jennifer Walterscheid

March 30, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

In this fun workshop you will explore surface textures and embellishments while learning the basics of metal etching! You’ll apply your designs to copper, brass, and nickel then use a chemical to etch the metal. Etched pieces will be cut and assembled using a cold connection technique to create a beautiful, unique piece of jewelry.

Jewelry & Metalsmithing With Roger Mathews

This course is ideal for both beginners and advanced students.  Projects will be tailored to ability levels and student interests.  Demonstrations and hands-on exploration include: texture fusing, cold forming, fused glass and Cabochon bezel setting.

Alchemy: the transformation of something to something more precious.

Enameling: the transformation of simple glass and metal to a piece of jewelry or decoration. Join us to learn how two very different substances can be combined to make beautiful pieces of jewelry, dishes, wall decor and more as we engage in the centuries old art of enameling.

Beginning Jewelry & Metalsmithing With Lori Martin-Price

Explore the basic techniques for fabricating jewelry and decorative pieces through demonstrations and hands-on projects. Students will learn to make a silver ring, links for a bracelet or necklace, metal techniques, textures, bezel stone setting, soldering, and more.
