Fused Glass for Jewelry Workshop

Four-Day Fused Glass Workshop with Roger Mathews

Lab Fees: $25 for using provided non-sterling silver or $50 for using provided sterling silver.

Lab Fees may be payed the day of the workshop when making your selection.

This workshop will include all the steps needed to turn fused glass into a wearable work of art to include: fusing the glass, reshaping, re-firing and making bezel settings for them.

Crash Course in Collage with Dustin Parker

This workshop will explore the basics of creating mixed media collage paintings using found materials and recycled paintings / drawings. The workshop will include a brief discussion about significant collage artists throughout history, a studio demonstration of various collage and painting techniques and a brief tour of the Wichita National All Media Exhibition. The remainder of the workshop will be dedicated toward creating your own mixed media collage paintings.

Sculpting Animals with Craig Cambell

Saturday     9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.     Oct. 7

This workshop will be fun from start to finish, going from concept to completion with Craig’s assistance. Students should choose an animal to sculpt and bring reference photos if possible. Craig will cover movement, character and attitude of chosen animals, proper proportions, comparative anatomy and features specific to the animal including hair, fur feathers, skin or textures. There will be a 30-minute break for lunch. Supply list is online.


Matting Your Artwork with Doug Billings

Sending your artwork out to be matted can be expensive so why not learn how to mat artwork yourself? We provide the mat board, backing board and clear plastic wrap as well as give a demonstration and hands-on assistance in matting your own artwork during this workshop. Please bring two works on paper you would like to learn how to mat.
