This two-part workshop will allow developing writers to explore the poetic form of the pastoral, reading both ancient and contemporary examples, then trying their hands at their own drafts. We’ll look to our local ecosystem and landscape of the prairie for inspiration. Students will bring drafts of their own pastoral poems to the second class, which will be run as a writers’ workshop.
